Spy x Family Code: White to Be Released in 2023
After Spy x Family Code: White became a beloved anime worldwide, Wit Studio and CloverWorks decided to expand it even further. They revealed during Anime Japan 2023 that the series will be getting a movie, which will have an original plot.
The film will be directed by the season 1 anime’s assistant director Takashi Katagiri. The screenplay will be written by Code Gease creator Ichirou Ookouchi.
Plot
At Anime Japan 2023, the Spy x Family anime franchise announced that a theatrical film would be released this year. Titled Spy x Family Code: White, the movie will feature an original plot supervised by mangaka Tatsuya Endo.
The film will focus on the cruise ship Arc and will see Yor securing a contract to guard a client aboard it. However, a mysterious passenger with the ability to see the future will make things more complicated.
The film was confirmed at AnimeJapan by voice actors Takuya Eguchi (Lloyd Forger), Atsumi Tanezaki (Yoru Forger), and Saori Hayami (Anya Forger). It will be directed by the first season’s assistant director Takashi Katagiri, with the screenplay written by Code Geass creator Ichirou Ookouchi. It will also feature music by Yki Kurosawa, who provided the soundtrack for the first anime season. The film will be based on the original story by Tatsuya Endo and will take the Forger family to new heights of intrigue and comedy.
